Designed to ensure privacy and comfort, these bandas include a mezzanine floor that can accommodate a child aged 8 years or older, adhering to age restrictions for certain activities, such as chimpanzee trekking.

The Mahale Mountains Forest is a breathtakingly beautiful and pristine wilderness teeming with wildlife. This magical forest is home to a variety of animals, including numerous primates, bushbucks, wild boars, leopards, and an incredible array of bird species. The highlight of any visit to Mahale is the chance to walk through the lush forest and encounter wild chimpanzees, a truly unforgettable experience that brings visitors face-to-face with one of humanity’s closest relatives.
Beyond chimpanzee trekking, Greystoke Mahale offers an array of remarkable activities. Most guests have the opportunity to see chimpanzees at least once during their 3-4 day stay, but sightings are not guaranteed. Depending on the day, the chimpanzees may be near the camp or high in the mountains, requiring longer treks. To ensure an intimate experience, only one chimpanzee tour is offered each morning, limited to a group of six participants.
